How to Clean Your Chlorinator Turbo Cells

Step 1: Safety First

  • Turn Off Power and Stop the Pump: Ensure safety and prevent any accidental contact.

Step 2: Remove and Inspect the Cell

  • Check for Deposits: Remove the cell and check for visible flaky deposits.
  • Reinstall the Cell: If no visible deposits are present, reinstall the cell for continued use.

Step 3: Flushing Out Deposits

  • Use a High-Pressure Hose: If deposits are present, flush them off with a high-pressure hose.

Step 4: Preparing the Acid Solution

  • Mix Water and Muriatic Acid: In a clean plastic container, mix a 4:1 solution of water to muriatic acid.
  • Always Add Acid to Water: Avoid adding water to acid to prevent accidents.

Step 5: Cleaning the Turbo Cell

  • Attach the Cell to the Cleaning Stand: Use the cord side down and fill it with the acid solution.
  • Soak for 15 Minutes: Let the cell soak for 15 minutes. Repeat the process until clean.

Step 6: Reinstall and Diagnostic Test

  • Reinstall the Turbo Cell: Place the cleaned cell back in its original position.
  • Run Diagnostic Test: Press the diagnostic button for 3 seconds to stop the flashing inspect cell LED and reset the timer for the next 500 operational hours.
