Clean Every 3 Months: Most turbo cells should be inspected and cleaned every 3 months or after every 500 hours of operation. Water chemistry also affects the cleaning interval. Well-balanced water requires less frequent cleaning.
Salt Cell Cleaning Instructions:
- Turn off the power and deactivate the pump.
- Use a high-pressure hose to remove large and apparent calcium deposits.
- Mix a 4:1 solution of water to muriatic acid in a clean plastic container.
- IMPORTANT: ALWAYS ADD ACID TO WATER, NOT WATER TO ACID.
- Place the salt cell onto the Swimables Acid Cleaning Kit, with the cord side down. Fill the salt cell with the acid solution and let it soak for 15 minutes.
- Repeat the process until the salt cell is clean.
- Reinstall the salt cell inline and press and hold the "Diagnostic" button for approximately three seconds. This will turn off the "Inspect Cell" light flashing.
